Barclays Capital Appoints Senior High Yield Credit Analysts

Daniel Rekrut, Karine Elias and Thomas Southon join the European High Yield Credit Research Team
LONDON (20 October 2010) – Barclays Capital today announced three senior appointments in its award-winning credit research franchise. Daniel Rekrut, Karine Elias and Thomas Southon join the European High Yield Credit Research Team based in London.
“We are pleased to have three new senior analysts joining our team,” said Robert Jones, Head of European Fundamental Credit Research. “With them on board and coupled with existing analysts we will offer a full coverage of names across the European high yield market and continue to deliver in-depth, industry-specific and relevant credit research.”
Mr Rekrut will become head of European High Yield Research and focus on European high yield telecommunication, media and technology (TMT) companies. He joins Barclays Capital after time as an executive director covering European high yield TMT companies at UBS.
Ms Elias will cover the European high yield consumer and retail sector. She joins from Nomura, where she was an executive director on the high yield credit research desk.
Mr Southon will cover the European high yield manufacturing and industrials sectors. Prior to joining the firm, he was a high yield analyst at RBS.
