バークレイズ・キャピタル証券、大沼健一を資本市場本部株式資本市場部長に起用

【2011年7月7日、東京】　英バークレイズ銀行の投資銀行部門であるバークレイズ・キャピタルは、大沼健一（おおぬま・けんいち）を本日付で、証券日本法人の投資銀行部門資本市場本部株式資本市場部長に起用しました。

今回の大沼の起用を機に、バークレイズでは国内の株式資本市場における運営体制がさらに確立するとともに、特にリスク管理及び資金調達、アドバイザリーといった業務の拡充が期待されます。大沼の起用は、国内外で投資銀行業務の強化拡充を進めるバークレイズの取り組みの一環であり、コーポレート・ファイナンス部長への浅見明彦、M&Aアドバイザリー部長への豊泉直紀、そしてコーポレート・ファイナンス部ヘルスケア・化学セクターカバレッジ責任者への畑澤克彦の起用に続くものです。

大沼はバークレイズ入社以前、直近ではJPモルガン証券の株式資本市場部においてエグゼクティブ・ディレクターを務めました。投資銀行家としてのキャリアを構築する中で、7,800億円に上るみずほフィナンシャル・グループ株式の公募増資（2010年7月）や、1兆700億円に及ぶ三菱UFJファイナンシャル・グループ株式の公募増資（2009年12月）など、一連の大規模なディールを手掛けています。キャリアの基点は1994年に入社した野村證券です。同社にてエクイティ・シンジケーションに携わった後、2002年にJPモルガン証券に入社するまでの間は、ゴールドマン・サックス証券の株式資本市場部に勤務しました。

Tokyo, July 7, 2011 – Barclays Capital, the investment banking division of Barclays Bank PLC, today announced the appointment of Kenichi Onuma as Head of Equity Capital Markets, Japan. He is based in Tokyo.

Mr. Onuma's appointment further strengthens Barclays Capital’s Equity Capital Markets platform across the globe, and follows the recent hiring of Akihiko Asami as Head of Corporate Finance, Japan, Naoki Toyoizumi as Head of M&A, Japan, and Katsuhiko Hatazawa to lead the Healthcare and Chemical coverage effort in Japan.

Mr. Onuma joins Barclays Capital from JP Morgan Securities Japan, where he was an Executive Director in that firm's Equity Capital Markets business. During his investment banking career he has been involved in a number of landmark deals including the 780 billion yen global follow-on offering of Mizuho Financial Group (July 2010) and the 1,070 billion yen global follow-on offering of the Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (December 2009). He joined JP Morgan in 2002 after spending two years in Equity Capital Markets at Goldman Sachs in Japan. Prior to that, Mr. Onuma worked in the Equity Syndicate department at Nomura Securities.
