バークレイズ証券、浅見明彦および安藤健実を投資銀行共同部門長に任命

【2014年2月6日、東京】 バークレイズ証券株式会社（以下、「バークレイズ証券」）は、浅見明彦（あさみ あきひこ）および安藤健実（あんどう たけみ）を本日付で投資銀行部門共同部門長に任命しました。安藤は引き続き資本市場本部長を兼任し、浅見はこれまでのコーポレート・ファイナンス部長としての仕事に加え、新たに投資銀行本部長に就任、兼任します。
浅見は2011年6月にバークレイズ証券に入社し、日本における投資銀行部門のセクターカバレッジ・グループを率い、フランチャイズ構築に貢献してきました。ゴールドマン・サックス証券在籍時を含め、テクノロジー・メディア・通信分野およびヘルスケア分野を中心に18年間にわたりM&A助言や資金調達等の投資銀行業務に携わった経験を有します。
安藤は2005年6月にバークレイズ証券に入社して以来、資本市場本部長として、債券資本市場部、株式資本市場部、事業法人部、その他リスクソリューション・不動産証券化関連ビジネスを統括、当社資本市場関係ビジネスの構築・拡大に貢献してきました。
今回の任命にあたり、バークレイズ証券代表取締役社長兼CEO中居英治は、次のように述べています。「浅見および安藤は、豊富な経験と数多くの実績を誇り、バークレイズの投資銀行部門の業務拡大に大きく貢献してきました。彼らのリーダーシップの下、日本におけるバークレイズの投資銀行部門のプレゼンスが一層向上することを期待しています。」
今回の就任は、3年半にわたりバークレイズ証券副会長兼投資銀行部門長の職にあった河野哲也が退職することに伴うものです。

Barclays Securities Japan Limited appoints Akihiko Asami and Takemi Ando as Co-Heads of Investment Banking Division, Japan
Tokyo, 6 February, 2014 – Barclays Securities Japan Limited (hereafter ‘Barclays’) today announces the appointment of Akihiko Asami and Takemi Ando as Co-Heads of the Investment Banking Division in Japan. Takemi Ando will assume this role in addition to his position as Head of Global Finance and Risk Solutions in Japan, and Akihiko Asami will assume the division co-head role in addition to his position as Head of Corporate Finance in Japan.
Akihiko Asami joined Barclays in June 2011. He leads the firm’s investment banking sector coverage group, and has responsibility for developing the firm’s investment banking franchise in Japan. He has over 18 years of investment banking experience in the M&A advisory and fundraising fields, having worked at Goldman Sachs covering the Technology, Media and Telecom, and Healthcare sectors.
Takemi Ando joined Barclays in June 2005, as Head of Global Finance and Risk Solutions. He has been responsible for the development and expansion of the firm’s capital markets related businesses in Japan, focusing on Debt Capital Markets, Equity Capital Markets, Real Estate Capital Markets and Risk Solutions.
Commenting on the appointments, Eiji Nakai, President and Chief Executive Officer of Barclays in Japan, said, “With their extensive experience and numerous achievements to date, Akihiko Asami and Takemi Ando have made a significant contribution in the expansion of Barclays’ Investment Banking business. Under their leadership I am confident that the Investment Banking Division can continue to further build and strengthen its presence in Japan.”
Tetsuya Kawano, who has held the position of Vice Chairman and Head of the Investment Banking Division in Japan for the last three and a half years, will leave the firm.
