バークレイズ証券、北野一を日本株ストラテジストに起用

【2013年9月4日、東京】 バークレイズ証券株式会社（以下、「バークレイズ証券」）は、北野一（きたの・はじめ）をマネージング・ディレクター、日本株チーフ・ストラテジストとして起用することを決定いたしました。
北野は2013年をはじめ、米インスティテューショナル・インベスター誌の株式ストラテジスト部門で2007年以降3回にわたりランキング1位にランクされています。北野は三菱東京UFJ銀行（旧三菱銀行入行）を経て、2006年よりJPモルガン証券に在籍、株式部門チーフ・ストラテジストとして同社に大きく貢献しました。また、2013年5月から8月まで、モルガン・スタンレーMUFG証券に在籍していました。
北野の起用にあたり、バークレイズ証券株式調査部長である橋本隆は、次のようにコメントしています。「北野氏は日本株ストラテジストとして豊富な経験を持ち、その卓越した分析力は国内外を問わず市場関係者から広く支持を得ています。北野氏をチームに迎えることで弊社の日本株リサーチ力はより強化され、個別セクター・レベルでの分析についてはもちろん、マクロ市場においてもお客様により質の高いインサイトを提供することが可能になります。」

BARCLAYS APPOINTS HAJIME KITANO AS JAPAN EQUITY STRATEGIST
Tokyo, 4 September, 2013 – Barclays Securities Japan Limited today announced the appointment of Hajime Kitano as Managing Director and Chief Equity Strategist, Japan.
Mr. Kitano was ranked as Japan’s top equity strategist in 2013 by Institutional Investor, the third time since 2007 that he has claimed the number one position. He joins Barclays from Morgan Stanley MUFG Securities Co., where he was chief equity strategist in Tokyo. Prior to joining Morgan Stanley earlier this year, he spent seven years at JPMorgan in Japan as chief strategist in equity research, after having worked at The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ (originally The Mitsubishi Bank) for over 23 years.
Mr. Kitano will report jointly to Takashi Hashimoto, Head of Japan Equity Research, and Ian Scott, Head of Global Equity Strategy.
Commenting on the appointment, Takashi Hashimoto, Head of Equity Research Japan at Barclays, said: “Mr. Kitano is a seasoned equity strategist whose in-depth analyses and insights are broadly respected and appreciated by market participants. His addition to our team will further strengthen our Japan equity research capabilities, enabling us to provide greater insights at both a macro and individual sector level.”
