Barclays Capital Appoints Greg Mrva Head of Internet Investment Banking

New York, NY, 2 August 2010 – Barclays Capital today announced the appointment of Greg Mrva as Head of Internet Investment Banking within the firm’s Global Technology Investment Banking Group. Mr. Mrva is based in Menlo Park, California, and reports to Laurence Goldberg, Head of the Global Technology Group.

Mr. Mrva joins Barclays Capital from Yahoo! Inc. where he served for five years as Vice President of Strategy, Mergers & Acquisitions and Corporate Development. At Yahoo! Inc., Mr. Mrva was responsible for guiding the company’s overall strategic investment and acquisition activities. Prior to that, he was an Investment Professional in the Technology Group at Texas Pacific Group. Previously, Mr. Mrva was Senior Vice President of Business Development at Mpath Interactive and led the Internet multi-player gaming company to a successful IPO. Mr Mrva began his career in Mergers & Acquisitions at Goldman Sachs and Banc of America Securities.

For the first half of 2010, Barclays Capital was the top-ranked M&A advisor in the technology sector, according to Dealogic.
