Barclays Capital Appoints Johan Leven as Co-Head of Corporate Finance, Asia Pacific

Hong Kong - Barclays Capital, the investment banking division of Barclays Bank PLC, today announced the appointment of Johan Leven as Managing Director and Co-Head of Corporate Finance, Asia Pacific.

At Barclays Capital, Mr Leven will partner with Richard Gallivan, Co-Head of Corporate Finance, Asia Pacific. They will lead the firm’s industry and country coverage groups in Asia Pacific, as well as develop and manage relationships with key clients across the region.

Mr Leven and Mr Gallivan are based in Hong Kong and will report to Matthew Ginsburg, Head of Investment Banking, Asia Pacific, and to Ros Stephenson and Tom King, Heads of Global Corporate Finance, Investment Banking.

Mr Leven was previously at Goldman Sachs where he was most recently Co-Head of Mergers & Acquisitions, Asia Ex-Japan, and had served in a number of leadership roles, including Co-Head of the Financial Sponsors group. He joined Goldman Sachs in London in 1990, and worked in Frankfurt and Sydney before moving to Hong Kong in 2001. He was named a Partner in 2004.
